It is planned that new terminal will be opened next summer in Klaipeda city, press service of Ministry of Transport and Communications said.
"This is a great event for port of Klaipeda and Lithuania. We hope that having a new modern terminal in Klaipeda will result in more ferry lines to neighbouring countries. It will not only improve transport links for our people living in Lithuania, but also the Western region of Lithuania will become more attractive for tourists," Minister of Transport and Communications Eligijus Masiulis said.
Construction of a new passenger and cargo terminal starts at Klaipeda Seaport.

Construction of the terminal is supported by European Union, Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and the Achema Group funds.
